Common Entrance
Common Entrance Results

Every pupil in Form 7 and 8 (12 and 13 year olds) takes a course which combines 13+ Common Entrance (the normal examined route into independent senior schools) and Key Stage 3 in two years (the normal curriculum for state senior schols, but ususally over 3 years).

At the end of Form 8 all pupils take the Common Entrance and Key Stage 3 exams. For those moving onto Independent Schools the exams are marked by the school or schools for which they are applying. For those applying to State Schools the exams are marked internally.

Over the last few years there has been a 100% success rate at Common Entrance to the schools applied for and in many cases pupils have also received scholarships (see Scholarship page).

The schools to which we regularly send pupils include:

Canford
Clayesmore
King's Taunton
