Sunninghill Preparatory School is a situated in the heart of Dorchester, the county town of Dorset. The site was originally the private home of the Pope family, the well known local brewers. It then became a convent and school in the 1957. Sunninghill was established nearby in Dorchester in 1939 and then moved to its present location in 1997. It has been a thriving co-educational school ever since.

We are a school of over 150 boys and girls aged between 3 and 13. The school is a minute’s walk from the picturesque centre of Dorchester, with its historic centre, thriving market and good travel links. The school is comfortably located in a magnificent Victorian building, with modern extensions, surrounded by safe play areas and sports facilities. It has its own swimming pool and hard court area on the site.

It is a peaceful oasis in the middle of a bustling, vibrant town community.
